Where’s a puff of wind when you need it!

Today is the first round of the Farmers Insurance Open Tournament, being held at Torrey Pines Golf Club, San Diego.

Justin Rose (ENG) tee’d off this morning, playing along side Jimmy Walker and Phil Mickelson when his tee shot landed in an oak tree and stayed there!

Now Justin needs to identify it as his ball or it is declared lost and he only has five minutes to do it. Unfortunately for him he can only see the dimples on his golf ball and no identifying marks to prove that it is his ball.

With less than two minutes to go Justin decides to head back to the tee to play a provisional shot (which will mean that he plays with a penalty of three off the tee). He is still hoping that a puff of wind or a miracle might dislodge his ball up the tree and save him a couple of penalty strokes and he can play on with his original ball. Sadly for him it wasn’t to be.
