Lee Trevino had one of the most fun holes-in-one in golf history in 1987.
Playing the 17th hole at the PGA WEST TPC Stadium Course and watched by his playing partners Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus.
Trevino used a 6 iron to play the ‘Island Green’ which is a 167 yard par-3.
Nicklaus had commented what a pretty shot it was and Lee, obviously delighted with his hole-in-one replied ‘it can’t get any prettier than that! And he was right!
During his professional golfing career Trevino won six major championships and 29 PGA Tour competitions including twice winning the U.S. Open, The Open Championship and the PGA Championship.
